Moriya: I admire couples who are like friends.

Kyo: Moriya, you seem like you’d toy with your partners.

Moriya: I don’t toy with them! Even if I did, I’d go out with guys who were fine with that. I mean, the one who’s loved more is the happier one in a relationship.

Kyo: Then how does the one giving all the love find happiness? You get asked out a lot, but your relationships don’t last that long, do they? Not to be rude, but what do you know.

Seeing Differently

I don’t have any of my childhood drawings anymore, but I remember drawing in a similar way to my son when I was in primary school: pressing hard with harsh lines, often getting proportions wrong, and being impatient with details (I still am). Although my technique has improved over the years, there’s an innocent charm in my son’s drawings that suggests he sees the world differently. Sketches: Blue Box IX

Karen: Everyone’s overthinking things. It’s nice to consider how the other person feels, but in the end, that’s just how the Chii in your head feels. Sometimes it’s important not to think about anything. Anyway, at this rate, you’ll be hitting the ball against the wall forever. Are you okay with that?

I’ve always been captivated by watercolor, particularly from the works of architects and fashion designers. Recently, I discovered a beautiful watercolor series from a Court Kings NBA card set that I like. I aspire to learn how to paint with watercolors in the future. For now, I’m content to capture some watercolor-like photos during my morning jogs.

Karen: So you like him?

Chinatsu: Maybe not that degree just yet.

Karen: What? Not yet? What do you mean?

Chinatsu: How do I explain it? It’s like I’m growing a flower. Being interested is like when the plant starts to sprout. Back when I used to see him during morning practice, I just thought of him as some guy who was always around. After talking and getting to know him, I realised he was a nice guy, and the seedling began to grow. The more things I find that I like about him…the bigger and bigger the plant grows. But since I’m so focused on basketball, and considering my situation, it hasn’t quite blossomed yet.

Karen: We all go at different speeds when it comes to love.
