Movie & Book

I’ve watched a dozens of movies recently (scroll down here to see some of them) but found most of them uninteresting. Perhaps this is because I developed a narrower taste, or the average quality of movie has fallen. On the other hand, I enjoyed most books I read and can easily find more interesting titles (the summer reading list’s not enough already). This suggests I’d put more time in reading than in watching movie. Since my internship has started, my plan’s 3 books and 1 movie per week. In the mean time I’ll try to find better substitutes for movie. Any suggestions?

About Schimdt is my all-time favourite, but you\’ve probably seen it since it\’s already old.
Butterfly Effect is disturbing, but very different.
Love the scenery and script in A Good Year.  I\’ve never find Russell Crowe that charming.
I\’ve bought perfume, but haven\’t got time to see it yet.
    Harry Potter is simply disappointing.
Changing Lane is a brilliant film for philosophy beginners.
Absurd enough, I\’m anticipating The Simpsons.

    Pls share me yours.

I haven\’t seen most of the movies you like, will definitely try to get a hold of them (I just put About Schimdt in my Amazon renting basket).

Here\’re some of my old favorites:

Before Sunrise (1995), Before Sunset (2004)-Enjoy the conversation and relationship of the characters
Lost in Translation-Like the cinematography and somehow touched by the subtle feeling the movie try to convey about human connections
New Cinema Paradiso-The soundtrack is one of the best, and the story\’s beautiful

Not sure if I\’ve any recent favorites though. They\’re either okay or pretty bad. I\’m looking forward to watch The Simpsons as well.
